Hung up to dry
About Bronzantiq
Bronzantiq is an easygoing magazine for the hours that belong to you. We write about films and series, the screens and setups that bring them into the living room, events worth getting dressed for, hobbies that fill a slow weekend, the rooms those weekends happen in and the occasional journey further afield. Nothing here is urgent. Most pieces are meant to be read with a warm drink nearby, and many end with something you could try that same evening.
What we write about
- Screens and stories. How people watch today, from cable boxes to internet TV, in pieces such as IPTV versus traditional TV.
- Tech around the house. Devices, smarter rooms and the software humming behind them.
- Hobbies and games. Sketching, jigsaws, family history and block-built worlds like the ones in Minecraft's hidden stories.
- Events and get-togethers. Invitations, celebrations, rented furniture and reading groups.
- Home and away. Lighting, renovation questions and trips such as a stay in Taormina.
The people at the desk
Bronzantiq is put together by a handful of writers who sign with first names only. Each of us looks after the subjects we already spend our evenings on, which keeps the writing grounded in real habits rather than press releases. You can read more about the team and the way an article travels from idea to page on a look behind the pages.
We hold no professional titles relevant to what we cover, and we do not pretend otherwise. When a question really needs a specialist, such as an electrician, a tax adviser or a doctor, we say so in plain words.
How we approach a subject
We would rather explain one thing clearly than list twenty things vaguely. Before writing, we ask what a reader actually wants to do after finishing the article: choose a device, plan an evening, start a hobby, understand a trend. Then we write toward that. We avoid invented numbers and borrowed authority, and if something is uncertain or depends on where you live, the article tells you.
The archive is a mix. Some articles have been with us for years and cover a wide spread of subjects; newer guides tend to be practical how-tos. We revisit older pieces from time to time and refresh them when they no longer hold up.
Where to start
New here? The orientation page suggests a few first stops by mood. If you have a free hour, our longer reads collect the deeper pieces in one place, and why we suggest what we suggest explains how recommendations end up in an article.
Say hello
